When I was in high school my pals and I had a thing we called Jacksonville Friday Night.
We didn’t make it every single weekend, but at least two or three times a month.
You see, we lived way out in the boonies of north central Florida, where there was not much to do besides smoke weed and goof off. On Friday nights we would dress up nice, get a little extra spending money, and go find something fun to do in Jacksonville, which was about an hour’s drive away. Years later I still live in the same small town, and commute every day to work in a Jacksonville real estate company. For as big as this city is, there are so many neighborhoods that still have that quaint, cozy feel to them, which makes my job serving Jax home buyers very rewarding. I don’t just sell real estate in NE Florida, I help people find the homes of their dreams! That said, I never purchased property in Jacksonville myself, I still live in the same house where I grew up. I told my wife several times that when I find a Jacksonville property I like more than the old house, I will buy it! In the meantime, I still celebrate the old Jacksonville Friday nights, and after finishing the work week at the real estate brokerage I hit the town for some drinks and dancing with my wife. The local home buyers of Jacksonville have a wide array of great houses and apartments to choose from, and I get to help them.
